Do not even begin asking me why I was late to publish this post? shhh..zip it ..I said no questions..DUH ! cuz you don’t ask a girl with a winged eyeliner why she’s late. You see what I did there? *khikhi*
Well! who doesn’t love that retro classic winged eye liner ..Why am I even asking? Everyone does. I mean it is so classy and elegant and sophisticated and suddenly can transform your looks from zero to infinity..*well a bit of exaggeration ofcourse* but you get my point, don’t you? But good things do not come so easily. Having a perfect winged eye liner can be so beautiful yet so difficult..*I would rather use a word
BUMMER* It took me lot of practice to master it . If you are one of those people ” Oh i am gonna make a thin winged eyeliner and nek minute transfrom your whole eyelid to become a pirate” then this post might be a little more helpful for you.
Jokes aside! Let’s get started shall we?
I am using the gel eyeliner from “mud cosmetics” and I am gonna be using a angled brush. You can use either liquid or gel, it’s just a preference. It’s just I feel like the gel one gives me more intensity of blackness in my eyeliner. *the black’er the better*
So just place the sticky tape at the outer corner of your eye so that you can mess up as much as you want and still end up with a crisp winged eyeliner. I like to start straight from the wing.. cuz if wing glides on well I have more confidence in creating that classic look. *Again, It’s just a preference really*. So, I just create a wing a bit further than where my natural eyebrow tail ends. When I start creating a wing, I like to start with high pressure to get that smooth glide and pointed flick and release the pressure as I continue.
Now all we have to do is connect that wing we joined to lashline with a regular eyeliner as close to lash line as possible and build as we go. This way you make less errors. Then, we are going to fill in the gaps and adjust some bumps or clear some eyeliner mark(if you have some) with a cutip for that sharp and smooth finish!
Take off the tape, and VIOLA! there you have it, a perfect classic winged eyeliner in the easiest way possible! If you still find it confusing, I have a small instagram video for you all
Hope you all find it helpful.
Thank me later! HAHA!
