YES GURL ! You are in the right post at right time and NO it’s not impossible at all to create those freckles that we all admire! Let me open up a bit to you, I have always been a messy artist. I mean, Hellooo! I am not making it up like I did do a lot of paintings for my HSC exam. That is when I realized that messy things attract me a lot rather than neat stuff. Also, I am quite messy when it comes to makeup. That is probably why I LOVE FRECKLES! Freckles are stunningly messy and it is just how natural they are *the messier it is, the more natural it looks*. I mean you can’t just poke some dots into your face like as neat as possible and call it a freckle! I mean, come on, what makes freckles so beautiful is that “faded effect” it has.
I think it’s fair to say freckles can completely transform the way you look. I mean, it just adds up that extra amp to your look. But, good things always comes with complicated instructions, doesn’t it? The more beautiful it is, the harder it will seem to pull off. Especially, if you are that kind of person who doesn’t really like trying new stuffs *which is me*. But, trust me, you never know how things are going to turn out unless you really try it. There might be one or two people judging you just cause you went out with some fake looking freckles but, wait, if you love it then who cares right? *I know it’s easier said that done, been there and done that 😀 *
Now you are a bit confident enough considering the whole FAUX FRECKLES look, let’s just reveal the secret to it, shall we? * which is really not much of a secret now*. I think I would synchronise*woh! that was a heavy word* my freckles according to the type of makeup look I am going for. If you are going for full-on glam, then it won’t hurt to add quite a lot of freckles to match up with your full on glam face. And, go for light faded ones for like everyday natural makeup. Although your gurl is going for full-on glam in this post *as you already know*.
First, take a small pencil brush with kind of sharp pointy edge *kind of* and dip it in a wax or a powder. I think the color dark brown would be the best one to use to make it appear like a real freckle. I used Dip Brow Pomade by Anastasia Beverley Hills in the shade “soft brown”. I do recommend going for the soft brown first and increasing the intensity of color as you go. Cause faux freckles can make you look from 100 to 0 with one simple mistake. *oopsy*. I used the pencil brush to dot some of that brow wax into centre of my face like around middle part of my nose and taking it until where my blush would start. Then, I like to smudge it a bit using my hands for that soft faded effect. Just remember, you can always add more, but it will be hard to take away after you have already done it. Then, I like to add more dots in those same areas, like dots upon one another to make it look more messy and real. Then, I like to add some dark brown brow powder *or matte eyeshadow* on top and smudging it again to make it appear more faded. I used Australis Cosmetics OH HAI BROW kit to add on top. And, there you have it! Your own faux freckles. Now, you don’t have to obsess over them anymore. Let me know if you try it and if it works! 😉
