Ah! I so needed this day out to explore the peaceful sea and breathe in the salty air. I have been hustling hard enough every single day and this day was wonderful opportunity to have a day off all to myself and of course my date. 😉 I have been thinking about Kiama trip for long now and today was the day I finally got to fulfill it. Thank God! The weather was also in favor of me, the trip went as it was planned.
I knew I was gonna add a blog post about this trip and the outfit, so let’s say I was prepared enough. I made sure whatever outfit I choose or the fashion I represent truly resembles my “true self’. I am all for comfort, and also some confidence of course! I am not gonna lie, I had to search around a lot before I ended up with this outfit and it was so last minute. I bought clothes online and beforehand, but when I saw this outfit on the mannequin I just had to get it. You know one of those outfits which you just know is gonna fit you so well and that screams comfort all over it. It was one of those moments. I opted for playsuit cause I just loved how it resembles an actual dress so much, but it’s actually not. I would not be able to handle all those dress flying around while I try and get a nice shot for my Instagram. DUH! So, I suggest to opt for a playsuit, one that resembles a beautiful sun dress and is actually comfortable and keeps you at ease. The fabric is so soft and breathable. However, my only doubt was, Is it going to be see through? Thank God! It was not. I really like a wrap around trend these days in spring/summer dress collection, so I was thrilled to try it on this outfit. It shows enough skin and doesn’t go too low and it was true to sizing, all over the body. One of the most things that caught my shopaholic attention, was the prints in the outfit. It wasn’t too bright but screamed as much summer as I wanted it to. I paired the outfit with my classic Superstar Adidas sneakers and called it a day. I did take a little help from accessories to emphasize my outfit. I added chunky mustard colored tassel earring for that pop of color. I went out of my comfort zone and bought myself a ‘hat’. I have never worn a hat before and never thought it suit me. I did try to get pictures of myself wearing one but it was so windy that I didn’t want it to fly off. This beautiful nude colored hat completed my whole outfit and pulled everything together. For my makeup, I kept it to minimal base makeup, natural looking face with bold brows and extremely glowing skin. To give out the summer vibes, I added a mauve pink lipstick and called it a day.
As per the location, Kiama is breathtaking. All the scenarios and waves and tides. Don’t even get me started. We were planning for a picnic getaway but since our schedule was so busy, didn’t actually get a chance to prepare the food. So, we just decided to stroll around. I have to say, if you are an Instagram crazy as I am, definitely visit Kiama cause the backdrop in your photos are going to be lit. The only bad thing I have to say about the location is that there is really not much to see as you stroll around unless you have the whole day planned for hiking and stuff. But, there is a rockpool, so it would be entertaining and worthwhile if you come for a swim and stroll around afterward. Also, there aren’t enough restaurants around, even if there were some, food wasn’t that much of a good in taste. The other thing that kind of bothered me as well was the train ride. It takes up to three hours to get there from the city area. Even though there are beautiful sceneries to enjoy on your way, I have to say it wasn’t the most comfortable train rides ever. The seats weren’t that soft and comfortable.
Overall, I enjoyed my short trip to Kiama and loved it. I have definitely returned with a lot of memories from there. Also, tons of photos. Every photo I took there turned out to be so perfect as if the place itself had some filters.
Thank you for tuning in and making this far.
