Ah! How I LOVE Summer! *raises hand* I guess it’s not only me who secretly admired these fancy midi dress trend that has been taking over the whole Fashion Universe. Midi Dresses are so in hype this summer and I literally see them everywhere. If you are looking for that subtle glamorous look, then Midi Dress is the way to go. I am loving this trend so much cause they make your outfit look “on point” without having to put much effort into it. When it comes to making a subtle, yet glamorous statement, a simple plain midi dress with any heel and a clutch will do.
The one I am wearing is a plain black laced up midi dress that I got from Temt. What I love about this outfit is it’s versatility. Either it’s a simple day out with your friends like movies or brunch, just pair this dress with a pair of sneaker and you are good to go. OR, you can go all glam and pair it with a heel, or in my case I paired it with these cute mules that I got from Temt. I mean, what’s not to like about this trend *the obsession is so real*. And, talk about cherry on top, the fact that this dress is black and on top of that LACE UP, I had to lay my hands on these.
I barely talk about personal stuff in my blog but today while shooting for this blog post I came across this idea of body positivity. It is definitely something that we all go through. In my case, every time I am taking any photos for my blog or instagram, I get way too conscious about my stomach showing in photos. Body shaming is such a sensitive topic and it is so necessary for all of us to be aware that nothing in this world can be ideally perfect. Just cause you don’t have a figure or height to wear a Midi Dress doesn’t mean you should give up on your dream to wear it( you see what I did there). I always wanted to rock Midi Dresses in sneakers but the fact that I am short always got in the way. But today I overcame the fact that I am not well gifted to have ideally perfect body and I don’t have long legs. Yet, in the end what matters is I need to feel confident on myself and my body and feel comfortable on what I am wearing. I guess that is all Fashion is about, to be confident and feel comfortable.
I hope you guys liked it. Thank you so much for your time. Stay tuned for more fashion/beauty posts.
