Man! Have I missed blogging? Of course, I have. It’s like seeing your lover after so long and makes me feel like we have so much to catch up. Guys, First I want to say Merry Christmas And Happy New Year! I am so sorry I couldn’t manage to wish you guys on time. So, it’s been a couple of weeks my blog has been acting out and me being stupid as ever; didn’t know how to fix it alone *ya know ya gal is not a technical type*. I had planned out a lot of posts for New Years Eve look. But, let the past be in the past cause we have so many things to cover in this post.
First thing first, have you ever thought your eye color can actually compliment certain makeup looks? Like, when you match a makeup look with your eye color, it just gives a different vibe to the whole look itself. In this post, I want to show you guys a simple glam makeup look to compliment those beautiful brownies out there.( I did not mean an actual brownie) While I was planning out this blog post, the color PURPLE just stood out to me. Purple is the most universally flattering shade for any eye color/skin tone. This is the another important reason why I chose “PURPLE” shade for this post. Cause, I still want other people (with hazel/black/blue) eye color to benefit from this post. (just didn’t want y’all to feel left out you know). Especially, for brown eyes, purple is the most contrasting color on the color wheel. Maybe, that’s why it compliments brown eyes so much.
The main focus in this post is Eyes and Lips. For the Eyes, I went for diffused plum/purple tones in the lid with dark brown/reddish brown on the crease. I started out with burnt orange color as my transition to help eyeshadows blend smoothly. Then I added warm brown shade on my crease and blended using fluffy blending brush. To compliment the brown, I chose a dark reddish brown shade for my outer part of the crease. I kept adding in the color until I was happy with the intensity. Then, I added shimmery plum color which had purple undertones to it. I didn’t just want to slap the shade purple on my eyes. That is why I went for muted purple shade for my eyelids. I also added same crease color on my lower lash line followed by shimmery plum shade and a black liner on my water line. After blending it for hours and adding more color as I go, I just topped off the look using Mascara and a hint of inner corner highlights to make the eye pop.
I feel like the Purple Lips just ties down the whole look together and just make that my brown eyes pop. I went for velvety matte liquid lipstick to let the shine peek through the beautiful purple shade in my lips.
For my lips, I used Chi Chi Cosmetics Creamy Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade “drama queen”.
Thank you so much for your time and patience guys. I hope you all had something to take away from this post. My next post is going to be on skincare( yay! break from makeup posts ! Finally) Stay Tuned.
