Ah! I can finally feel the summer coming through. Although, it has been raining cats and dogs in Sydney for the past few days. But, as usual, it didn’t take long for the blazing sun to make its way through the windy day. Without a doubt, you can say my today’s blog post is inspired by the blazin’ sun and the ultimate heat of Sydney. As far as I know, a lot of us (gals ) like to go out for brunch or plan a lot of outdoor activities in summer. Therefore, I thought of providing y’all with the summer-inspired makeup look that incorporates yellow eyeliner (OH YEAH!) and purple eyelids. Shall we start with eyes?
First of all, I started with eyes of course. I like to put on a concealer as an eyelid primer and set it using the powder to prevent eyeshadow creasing/melting throughout the day. Then, I used the shade “golden ochre” (earthy yellow) all over my lid and crease to give it some base color. Then, I used the shade ‘burnt orange’ (deep orange) as a light transition color and used it all over my crease. Then, I began using the shade “realgar” (brick) and intensified my crease (mostly the outer crease). Then, in process of intensifying the crease, I used the shade ‘red ochre” (sienna) and ‘love letter” (raspberry). Keep in mind, I used two fluffy blending brushes for my crease. One for applying the shade into my crease and another one for blending all of the shades altogether. This way, you can ensure the smooth blending of all those mixtures of shade. Then, I used a flat shader brush with a concealer and carved out my lid space. This helps for the lid color to stand out and pop even more. I used the shade “salt and purple” (purple cream glitter) from Australis Cosmetics Metallix Cream Eyeshadow all over my lid. I topped it off using the shade “trendy” (prismatic teal) to make it pop even more. Now, to tie all the effort we did on our eye makeup, I used the ultimate star of the show Yellow Eyeliner from Nyx Cosmetics called “Vivid Halo” and carved out a wing that can actually slit someone. (How I wish so :D). And, I used Eyelure Mink Lashes and tied the whole look together. Also, I used the same crease color on my lower lash line to balance out the look. My tip on doing any smokey eye look is to continue doing the same process in both eyes together so that you won’t unbalance both eye look.
For my face, I decided to go with full coverage matte finish using Fenty Beauty newly launched Foundation. You can find my review on this foundation HERE. I went pretty subtle on my contour and blush. However, I wanted to add some glow to the look. I went a little bit on the heavier side with the glow. Also, I always like my brows pretty bold so I did it as per usual. And, I added some Brownish nude shade to the lips and called it a day.
This is my attempt in full glam summery makeup look. You can definitely tone down the foundation and make this makeup looking seem everyday wear. Thank you so much for making this far.
