Now this is something you don’t get to see in my blog everyday! Oh wait! Lemme correct it a bit – EVER! This is my first post about books and by the title of it you should definitely guess by now that I am a READER! I love reading, I do..but I haven’t been as much in love with them before like I am now. Before, I felt like I was performing my reading rituals on bus, train and park to show how much of a passionate reader I am. Honestly speaking, having a book in your hands does make you look a tad bit attractive! (Oh! It’s just me who thinks like this?! No problem!) I lacked concentration and that is one thing which is just not going to help you to finish that 1000s of pages. Recently, I have discovered my love for them again and let me tell you it is the best thing that has happened to me.
I have always opt for crime thrillers when it comes to choosing genres, either movie, series or in a book. And, YES I belong to one of that category for binge watching Criminal Minds (if you don’t know this series, were you living under a rock? like literally?). I guess that is why I opt for crime thriller novels instead of simple plain romance and any other genres that exist. I guess its the mystery that pulls me towards every single word in the book and along with myself, so goes my concentration in them. Oh! I have missed my stop due to this many times when I was travelling in train. The mystery that lies beneath every letter, word, sentences and pages, and that reveals the unfolding bit by bit is what keeps me awaken every night. Not to mention, I have read these book with my flashlights on, in middle of the night, so that I don’t disturb my sister and my roommate.(I know I get cringed out too sometimes, with my addiction).
So lemme reveal the legends of mystery and late night chills, the three books that I have been loving/looking forward to read this month. First, I got my hands on The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson. If you live around Sydney city/ or visit there often, you would know the book shop called Dymocks. I love going there in like rainy/winter seasons. That is why I paid visit there recently and got my hands on this baby. That place is so warm and cosy that I could spend hours sitting there reading. Back to the book, this book will legit give you chills in every chapter you read. You have not seen any murder plan in any movies or even in your life time, which you will get to read in this book. Definitely, give it a go if you are a thriller lover like me. Trust me, the details you get in the movie is not even a bit comparable to the ones you get in the book. The one I am reading right now is The Girl with a Clock for a Heart. I am somewhere in middle of this book and I am not gonna lie, the mystery is legit eating me up. Definitely, gonna finish it soon, but so far I am hooked. The one I am actually looking forward to read is To Catch a Killer by Nele Neuhaus. The name literally hooked me in first glance so I am looking forward to spending hours with it.
Reading is one of my favourite hobbies. I love reading because I like how authors blend in literature so seamlessly, word by word, causing audiences like us to have a visual of what is actually happening in each chapters. That is what most inspires me about writing. I believe being able to do that as an author is an achievement. That is probably why I love blogging, to reach out there in millions of imaginations, is what I yearn for.
Thank you for reading!
