WOH! Guess who just turned 21? I feel so damn old, now that I said it out loud. Yesterday, 18th of the March was my birthday guys and as every other birthday, I had saved this elegant trendsetter dress for the occasion. I call it the “EMBROIDERED ROSES” trend. These trends are everywhere these days, in a shoe, dress, denim jacket, skirts, pants and the list goes on. Every fashion piece you see, it would be impossible for you to not find this trend tagged along in one of their items. And, I, as always have welcomed this trend wholeheartedly cause this is about to change my entire wardrobe and fashion sense. I spotted this dress at the store called Ally Fashion and instantly fell in love with it. What caught my eye, was this carefully embroidered roses in a simple plain black slip dress. This is why I like to call it “A Little Black Dress with a Twist ~”.
This applique dress doesn’t only come with the infamous roses imprinted in the front, but also comes with a lot of options to style it. You can either dress it up or down be depending upon your preferences and you are good to go. As per this occasion, I decided to dress it down to show you how flexible this dress can get. It always becomes easy when dressing up. Just add a pair of heels and grab a clutch. And you are good to go. But, when it comes to dressing down an elegant dress like this, it can often come with a challenge. For this look, I added a denim jacket to get that edgy look combined with elegance. To top it all off, I also decided to go with some burgundy boots to keep the dress more to the edgier side. Also, to add that extra oomph, I paired this look with the Gold Hoop Earring from Collette Hayman to bring out that boohoo 90’s vibes from the look. As per makeup, I went with full coverage base and added a classic winged eyeliner and nude lips and called it a day. I wanted to have that glowy luminous skin with a hint of boldness. That’s why I went with subtle eyes and bold brows. (You can go to my Instagram page to get the details on my makeup look). I went with subtle makeup look to continue keeping the focus on those Rose Applique Slip Dress and its detailed embroideries. This outfit look is great for fun day out or a brunch date with your friends. I promise it won’t fail to allure you in any smart casual occasion/dinners. I hope you will love this look as much as I loved creating it. Thank you for coming this far.
