Now let me start off by telling you that I am no good in doing celeb inspired looks. I just feel like there is just a lot of expectations from yourself as well as other people when it comes to creating these looks. I mean I do not know what goes behind the scene when they are getting ready for that big event. Or, I must what product their makeup artist uses. But, as I was scrolling through my Instagram feed looking for some inspirations about my new blog post. I came across this photo of Vanessa Hudgens from one of her VMAs look. I mean, I was sold. I loved it! Every bit of that makeup look. Putting it out there that, not knowing what product was used for her look and not having exactly same colors and shade handy, I happened to have created something similar to her look but I added my own touches. I hope y’all like it.
I have always wanted to try out the glittery and colorful winged eyeliner and call it a day. I love how her makeup is so simple except her eyes were screaming ATTENTION!. Let’s start with eyes now, shall we?
I started off by using sticky tape on my both eyes to shape out my crease perfectly. As I didn’t have that particular or any red eyeliner, I opt for the red lipstick and my angled brush. That is why I had sticky tape on cause I knew things were about to get messier. So I went with a neutral light brown shade and added it all over my eyes. Then I went with lighter burnt orange and used it as my transition shade. I added a little bit of darker burnt orange shade and carved out my outer V. Then, I went ahead with that classic red lipstick and carved out a wing. I thought her eyeliner was looking tad bit smudged so I grabbed dark pink shade and added it on top of my wing. As I didn’t have the red glitter to work on, I went ahead and put this silver metallic eyeshadow on top of that wing and called it a day. I added some natural but whispy lashes and our eyes are done.
Now, what I was actually impressed about was how they managed to look her whole face natural but still illuminating. I liked how they let her eyes be the statement of the whole look. So, for the face, I went with some light foundation mixed with some illuminating drops for that youthful glowy look. I let my brows look defined but thinner and natural as usual. I used mostly cream product cause her face was less matte more glowy. I used a tiny bit of cream contour and just a flush of blush. For the highlight, I turned it down a little by using cream highlight for that glowy look. And, last but not the least, the lips. Her lips were looking velvety matte. So, I took this nude matte lipstick and added a little bit of gloss to give that velvety matte finish.
Then, Viola! We are done. Now, I know this wasn’t her makeup look, hence the word ‘inspired’. I wish I had a little bit of red shade to play with in my eyes. But, I decided to use what I have and create this look. I hope you liked it. Thank you for making this far.
